The average rainfall in the Atacama Desert is less than one millimeter per year, making it fifty times drier than Death Valley in California, USA. I visited this amazing place as one of my last stops on my way up and out of Chile. A 24-hour bus ride from Santiago brought me and a friend into to the desert. Each image was inspired by reference photos taken on tours throughout the Atacama landscape. From Moon Valley to the Salt Flats I worked to capture the colors, forms and textures that fascinated me on my journey.
